My vision for Meru and Kenya
To have a progressive county and country characterized by inclusive sustainable development, good governance, respect for human rights and rule of law and zero tolerance to corruption.

My role as Senator of Meru County
In accordance with Article 96 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 I will ensure effective representation in Parliament of the interests of the people of Meru County and the County government of Meru.
Specific areas of interest
For the last twelve years and since the start of devolution in 2013, Meru County has received about Kes 120 billion from the national government. In the same period revenue collection within the county has been about Kes 6 billion,
a proportionately quite low level of own source revenue. This is certainly a lot of money and the people of Meru should be able to identify substantive development work on account of these resources. However huge gaps continue to persist in critical areas of the Meru economy and social infrastructure. As Senator of Meru County I commit to work closely with the Governor of Meru, all elected leaders, stakeholders and the people of Meru to ensure effective and efficient use of resources allocated to and collected by the County Government of Meru. I will robustly advocate for zero tolerance to corruption and wastage and focus on the below specific programmes in these key critical areas.

Agriculture
- Promote farmer direct access to the market removing/limiting the role of middle men and brokers.
- Promote modernized production, market access, efficiency and expansion through aggregation (cooperatives), digital platforms and value addition through local processing in dairy, beef, coffee, tea, coffee, potatoes and fruits.
- Promote public-private partnerships and incentives for local processing and provision of subsidized farm inputs including ferterlizers, high grade semen, seeds, equipment and aggregated modern storage facilities.
- Advocate for full-time competent extension officers at the ward/location level.

- Advocate for an elaborate county support for all public ECD centres, primary and secondary schools (especially those in remote areas) focused on increased physical, electricity and digital infrastcture improvement.
- Promote full implemetation of the right to free quality basic education at primary and secondary levels.
- Advocate for increase resource allocation to universities, colleges and TVETs in Meru.

Health
- Advocate for an increase in the number of primary health care units in the county
